Zenith Dale Boyce, 81, of Rock Run Rd., West Union departed this life on Saturday, October 4, 2014 in the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center, Clarksburg. He was born on April 12, 1933 at Nobe, WV a son of the late Hayward Dewey and Amy Louise Church Boyce. On August 20, 1977 he married Bessie B. Nicholson who survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Cindy Marie Martin and husband Lonnie, Woodbridge, VA, two sons, Richard Dale Boyce, TX, Barry Neil Boyce, Orlando, FL, one sister, Euna Gay Engstrom, New Milton, two grandchildren, Lena and Kyle Boyce and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Donzil Gail and Leonard Thomas Boyce.
Mr. Boyce was retired from Weirton Steel with 30 years of service in the coke plant as a millwright. He was a member of the U.S. Steel Workers of America and was an antique car enthusiast. Mr. Boyce was a veteran of the United States Navy.
Funeral services will be conducted in the Spurgeon Funeral Home 212 Front St. West Union on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in the Masonic Memorial Park, West Union. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 from 4-8PM. Expressions of sympathy may be extended to the family at www.spurgeonfunerals.com.
