Willis H. Cumberledge, 85, of West Union departed this life on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 in Clarksburg Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. He was born on February 12, 1928 in Doddridge County a son of the late Ernie and Bashie Jane Morris Cumberledge.
Surviving are sister, Elmalene Gain, Painesville, Ohio, half sister, Wilma Gooch, Wheeling, half brother, Roger Cumberledge, Wheeling, sister-in-law, Nancy Cumberledge, Big Flint, two special nephews, James "Mike" Cumberledge and wife Marcie, Sedalia and Eric Cumberledge and wife Marilyn, Greenwood.
Willis had trained horses at the Meadows for many years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be conducted in the Spurgeon Funeral Home, 212 Front St., West Union on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 11:00AM with Pastor Robert Marino. Interment will follow in the Neds Run Cemetery. Family will be receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Friday, September 27, 2013 from 4-8PM.
