William Leslie "Bubby" Jones

William Leslie "Bubby" Jones, 65 of Rube Leggett Rd. New Milton departed this life on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 in his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 3, 1951 at Little Cove, Gilmer Co. to the late Leslie Ray and Myrtle Boyce Swiger Jones.

Surviving are two sisters, Liney McKinney and husband Lynn, New Milton, Jeanie Bunting and husband Cecil, Smithburg, four brothers, Robert Swiger and wife Betty, New Milton, David Jones and wife June, Lynn Camp, Ritchie Co. Jack Jones and wife Jacque, Salem, Jeffrey Ray Jones, Salem and several nieces and nephews. One infant sister, Lucille Jones preceded him in death.

Bubby was an avid Marshall and Pittsburgh Steelers Football fan and enjoyed going to car shows. He had a special affection for his cats and dogs and was very patriotic and always went to vote. Bubby gave his heart to the Lord before his passing and now rest in the arms of Jesus.

Funeral services will be conducted in the Spurgeon Funeral Home 212 Front Street West Union on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 11:00AM with Pastor Jeff McKinney presiding. Interment will follow in the Hart Cemetery, Oxford. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Friday, August 12, 2016 from 4-8PM. Spurgeon Funeral Home is privileged to serve the Jones family.
