Virginia Lee Robbins

Virginia Lee Robbins, 94 of Marietta, OH departed this life on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at Harmer Place, Marietta, OH. She was born on March 27, 1923 on Rock Run (Doddridge County) to the late Lawrence and Zella Knight Moffatt. On October 4, 1940 she married James L. Robbins Sr. who preceded her in death on March 1994.



Surviving are two sons, James L. Robbins Jr. and wife Lucile, Ovilla, TX, Jackson "Jack" Robbins and wife Barb, Pittsburgh, PA, one daughter, Regina "Genie" Carpenter, Little Hocking, OH, daughter-in-law, Martha Robbins, Marietta, OH, 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, one brother, Jack Moffatt and wife Ruth, Columbus IN. She was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Janena Jones, one son, John Robbins, 2 sisters and 4 brothers.



Mrs. Robbins was a career homemaker. She enjoyed watching her NFL team "Dallas Cowboys", as well as baseball and NASCAR. Virginia also enjoyed working crossword puzzles. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister and will be sadly missed.



Funeral services will be conducted in the Spurgeon Funeral Home 212 Front St. West Union on Friday, November 3, 2017 at 1:00PM with Pastor David McCauley presiding. Interment will follow in the Freeman Cemetery, Rt. 18 N. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 11:00AM on Friday, November 3, 2017 until time of service.
