Virginia Lee Nicholson

Virginia Lee Nicholson, 90 of Church St. West Union departed this life on Thursday, March 28, 2019 in her residence. She was born on September 14, 1928 at New Milton the daughter of the late Herman and Mamie Lee Ables Stickel. On July 17, 1948 she married Harvey Junior "Tuffy" Nicholson who preceded her in death on December 6, 2003.



Surviving are one son, Danny O. Nicholson and wife Debbie, Williamstown, two grandsons, Terry H. Nicholson and wife Teresa, Greenwood, Daniel A. Nicholson and wife Amy, Bostwick, FL, 9 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild, one brother, Wilber Neil Stickel, Bridgeport and several nieces and nephews Two brothers preceded her in death.



Mrs. Nicholson was the Owner and Operator of The Herald Record Newspaper, West Union for 39 years. She enjoyed quilting, knitting and cooking. Virginia attended the Emanuel United Methodist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.



The family will receive friends in the Spurgeon Funeral Home, 56 Front St. West Union on Sunday, March 31, 2019 from 4-8PM. Private graveside services will be conducted in the Masonic Memorial Park with Pastor David McCauley presiding. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to your favorite charity.
