Virginia N. Hickman, 93, departed this life on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at the Country Club Retirement Center, Ashtabula, Ohio. She was born on September 21, 1919 in Wilbur a daughter of the late Delbert and Leota Gibson Haught. On April 22, 1939 she married Glen Hickman who preceded her in death in 1987.
Grandma Great is survived by three grandchildren, Cheryl Tadsen (James), David Gill (Cathy), Cindy Gill (Jim Cancilla), great grandchildren, Nicole, Rachel, Zachary, Michael, Barbara, Emily, Jacy, and Jaden, great-great-grandchildren, Mason, Christopher, Kaileigh and Alexander, sisters, Wanda Keys and Hazel Friend, brothers, James Haught (Phyllis), Ray Haught and Tom Haught (Alice), sisters-in-law, Mabel Haught, Beulah Stone and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her stepmother, Susan Shields Haught, daughter, Eva Mae Gill, son-in-law, Merle Gill, brothers, Ermal Haught, Claude Haught, Denver (Dick) Haught, Perry Haught and sisters, Opal Wilcox, Mabel Haught and Melba Lee Ash.
Funeral services will be conducted in the Spurgeon Funeral Home, 212 Front St., West Union at11AM on Thursday, October 11, 2012 with Pastor David McCauley presiding. Interment will follow in the Wilbur Chapel Cemetery, Tyler County. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 from 4-8PM.
