Virginia G. Adams

Virginia G. Adams, 95 of Riggins Run departed this life on Friday, August 18, 2017 in the Mansfield Place, Philippi. She was born on November 19, 1921 at Center Point a daughter of the late Albert Elsworth Ritter and Delia Bell Edgell Ritter. On June 29, 1943 she married Noah Clifford Adams preceded her in death on July 29, 1989.

Mrs. Adams is survived by five sons, Charles Stephen Adams and wife Peggy, Salem, Paul Lewis Adams, Kempster, WI, Melvin Wayne Adams, David Lawrence Adams and Richard Bruce Adams and wife Tina, all of West Union, two daughters, Patricia Ketchem and husband John, Philippi, and Nancy Farestvedt and husband Lars, Katy, TX.; twenty two grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by daughters-in-laws, Vione, Regina and Peggy Adams, four brothers, two sisters, and three great grandchildren, Christopher Allen Burgess, Jason Marchand and Lisa Marie Wrobleskey.

She was a member of the first graduating class of Doddridge County High School and a member of Pleasants Baptist Church. Virginia also enjoyed reading and was a loving mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Funeral service will be conducted in the Spurgeon Funeral Home 212 Front St. West Union on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at 1:00PM with Pastor Robert Marino presiding. Interment will follow in the Center Point Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 from 4-8PM and after 9AM until time of service.
