V. Freeman

Obituary-West Union-Genevieve V. Corder Freeman, 85 of York Springs, PA passed away on Thursday July 24, 2008 at the home of her daughter. She was born on March 21, 1923 in Doddridge County a daughter of the late Clay and Rosa Nutter Corder. On August 2, 1940 she married Erlin Freeman who preceded her in death July 19, 1997.

Surviving are one daughter, Sandra Freeman-Corrao and husband Vince, York Springs, PA, three grandchildren, Dawn Rockwell, Kevin Rockwell and wife Omama, Kim Jensen and husband Scott, three great grandchildren, Amber, Bobby and Suha Rockwell. One sister Ruth Stout preceded her in death.

Mrs. Freeman enjoyed writing poetry and interior decorating. She loved spending time with her family and playing, Canasta. She was United Methodist and a 50-year member of Highland Chapter #33 Order of Eastern Star, Baltimore, MD.

Friends may call in the Spurgeon Funeral Home 212 Front St. West Union on Monday from 10-12 Noon where funeral service will be held at 12 Noon.
