Teddy Monroe Dilly, 96 of West Union passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at Harmony at White Oaks. He was born December 9, 1928, in Clarksburg, son of the late William Alexander and Hazel Ulna Doak Dilly. Teddy graduated from Doddridge County High School and Hobart Welding Company in Troy, OH. He served his country in the United States Army at the end of WWII and in the United States Coast Guard during the Korean War. He retired from Gates Rubber Company in Denver Colorado as a Welder. Teddy enjoyed woodworking, gardening, welding, fishing, golfing, and at last sitting on the swing waving at everyone going by at Crystal Lake. He was a member of the West Union Christian Church, West Union Lions Club, and a 50-year member of Friendship Lodge #56 AF&AM of West Union. His cat Sam was his furry companion. He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Wanda Lee Skidmore Dilly whom he married on July 29, 1950; three nieces, Sandra Hefner (Allen) Bridgeport, Ann Easterling (Jim) Niles, OH, Christine Simmons, Niles, OH; two nephews, Mike Frey and Thomas Frey, Newton Falls, OH; several great and great great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Teddy was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Jo Frey and husband James; two nephews, James Frey and Patrick Frey. Family and friends are invited to a Graveside Service on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Masonic Memorial Park in West Union with Pastor Ben Blair and Pastor Mark Wilmoth officiating where full masonic graveside rites will be conducted by Friendship Lodge #56 AF&AM of West Union and where full military honors will be accorded by the US Army Honor Guard and the Harrison County Honor Guard.
