Sue Davis

Obituary-West Union-Sue Davis, 80 of Rock Run Rd. West Union departed this life on Friday, May 26, 2023. She was born on March 15, 1943 on Big Flint a daughter of the late Bernard Hayes and Kathleen McMillian Hreha. On November 1, 1958 she married John Davis who survives.

Also surviving are three daughters, Kimberly Greaver (Dale), Stonewood, Marla McConnell (Joe), West Union, Becky Ford (Chad), West Union, two sons, John Davis Jr. (Tony), Gastonia, NC, Bryan Davis (Amber), West Union, 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren,three brothers, Larry Watson, Fairport, OH, Eddie Wright, TX, Michael Hayes, Middlebourne, one sister, Bernardette Kirk, Pine Grove and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Joyce Holt and Terry Colvin.

Sue was formerly employed by Salem College as a Lead Line Server in the cafeteria. She was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church where she was very active in teaching Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and was a member of the Ladies Bible Study on Monday mornings. Sue was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family and especially family dinners.

Funeral services will be conducted in the Spurgeon Funeral Home 56 Front St. West Union on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor David McCauley presiding. Interment will follow in the Masonic Memorial Park. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Monday, May 29, 2023 from 4-8 p.m..
