Sherri Bonnell Obituary

Sherri Lee Bonnell, 55 of West Union departed this life on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown. She was born on September 6, 1961 in Doddridge County a daughter of the late Randall G. and Linda L. Snyder Forrester. On February 21, 1998 she married Jon Matthew Bonnell who survives.

Also surviving are three daughters Brooke Britton and husband Mark, Salem, Brittney Hass and husband Ronnie, West Union, Amanda Powell, Morgantown, grandchildren, Hunter and Harper Hass, Brooklyn, Lennox and Semaj, one sister, Stacy Swisher and husband John, Cincinnati, OH two nephews, Cory and Nicholas Swisher, one niece, Emily Swisher and "Momma" Mary Lee Nesler.
Sherri was recently retired from the W.V. State Police as a secretary with 35 year's service. She was very active with the Doddridge County Park where she had served on the board twenty plus years. She also had served on the Doddridge County Fair Board where she was very involved with the beauty pageants and entertainment. Sherri enjoyed family, hunting, fishing, event planning, and sharing her new home with friends and family. She was a member of the West Union Christian Church.

Funeral services will be conducted in the Doddridge County High School Auditorium, Bull Dog Dr. West Union on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at 2:00PM with Pastor Jim Messenger presiding. Interment will follow in the Masonic Memorial Park. The family will receive friends in the Spurgeon Funeral Home 212 Front St. West Union Saturday, June 10, 2017 from 2-8PM and after 12 noon on Sunday in the Doddridge County High School Auditorium until time of service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Doddridge County Park or Doddridge County Library. Spurgeon Funeral Home is privileged to serve the Bonnell family.
