Shelia Kay Kimball, 80, a resident of Salem, WV departed this earthly life on Saturday, October 14 2023 surrounded by her loving family. Shelia was born January 25, 1943 to the late Glenn and Betty Sue Burr.
Shelia attended schools in Doddridge where she was a member of the marching band. Over the years, she worked for Braden’s Restaurant, TG & Y Department Store, and Burr’s Restaurant. In 1965, Shelia married David L. Kimball.
Shelia was very artistic and always loved doing crafts, painting, and cake decorating. She was very talented in all of these areas. She was an awesome cook and hosted many family gatherings where she was known for her famous oyster dressing. She loved the holidays and enjoyed celebrating with family. Throughout her life she was dedicated to caring for her family. Shelia was a member of Vermont Baptist Church in Sedalia.
Shelia is survived by her husband of 58 years, David Kimball, and her sons Dwayne Kelley and wife Pam of Big Flint and Rikki Kimball and wife Sandra of Big Battle, and daughter-in-law Laureen Kelley of Big Flint. She is survived by her grandchildren Timmy Kelley and wife Yuan of Morgantown, April Kelley of Fairmont, Mathew Kelley and wife Keisha of Kingwood, Colby Siders and husband Devron of Salem, Shelton Crim and fiancée Rachel White, and Gunner Kimball, and great grandchildren Lyric Kelley, Avery Siders, Seth Kelley, Oliver Siders, and Emily Kelley. Additionally, she is survived by her siblings including Ronnie Burr and wife Katherine, Sue Alkire and husband Bud, Judy Shaffer and companion Jerry Fornash, and Eddie Burr and wife Donna and many loving nieces and nephews.
Shelia was preceded in death by her oldest son Brian Kelley and grandson Rory Todd Kelley.
Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home West Union, 212 Front Street West Union WV on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 from 3-7PM and on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 from 9AM until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:00AM with Pastor Chad Ash officiating.
