Miss Sandy Ford, born on June 3, 1954, died June 20, 2012 at three oclock at Ruby Memorial Hospital at age 58. Sandy was a resident of Clarksburg, and previously a resident of Charlotte, NC. Born and raised in Clarksburg, she was the daughter of the Clara Fleming Ford of Clarksburg and the late Jack E. Ford. She was the younger sister of Karen (Ford) Nardelli, wife of Louis G. Nardelli of Clarksburg, and was the aunt of Louie J. Nardelli (wife Christine), Natalie (Nardelli) Gigliotti (husband Tony), and John Paul Nardelli. Sandy was also an adoring great-aunt of Julian Nardelli, Noah Nardelli and Stella Claire Gigliotti.
Sandy moved to Florida after graduating from West Virginia University with a four-year degree in Medical Technology. She later decided to make a career change, and for over twenty years she worked as a talented electrical engineer for Philip-Morris near Charlotte, NC. She retired from this position in January 2009 and returned home to be closer to family and friends. She was a loving pet-owner to many dogs and cats over the years and had a deep appreciation for science fiction, Muppets and horror films. She demonstrated a profound spirit of compassion and generosity to her family while also revealing the art of playful sarcasm in conversation with close friends. She loved chatting about movies and politics, swimming in the evenings, and eating Mexican food. Her appreciation for Christian music also expressed her steadfast faith in Jesus Christ. All those close to Sandy will remember her as one who unselfishly thought of others before herself.
The family would like to thank the personnel at Ruby Memorial Hospital for their support and care during Sandys extended illness.
