Ruthie Bunting

Ruthie E. Bunting, 80 of New York Ave. West Union departed this life on Monday, September 4, 2017 in her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 25, 1937 in Doddridge County, a daughter of the late Russell and Rebecca Knight Ferrebee. On February 21, 1956 she married Victor Bunting who preceded her in death on June 23, 1979.
Surviving are three daughters, Penny Davis, Clarksburg, Darlene Crofford and husband James, West Union, Mary Bland Lloyd, Cyril, OK, five sons, Victor "Nutt" Bunting and wife Linda, Erie, PA, Tommy Bunting, Travelers Rest, SC, Alan Bunting, West Union, Randal Bunting and wife Delores, Clay, WV and Kevin Bunting and companion Brandi, Salem, 18 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren, six sisters, Hazel LeMasters, West Union, Orpha Iams, Harrisville, Mary George, Pennsboro, June Zagle, Sistersville, Leona Roscoe and Martha Hicks both of Steubenville, OH. Mrs. Bunting was also preceded in death by one daughter, Betty Marie Bunting, two grandchildren, one great grandchild, one brother and three sisters.
Mrs. Bunting was a former employee of Myles Manufacturing and retired from Sonopress as manager of quality control. She enjoyed watching Law and Order and wrestling and listening to country music.
At her request she was cremated. Spurgeon Funeral Home is privileged to serve the Bunting family.
