Ronald Knight Obituary

Ronald Wayne Knight, 68, of Powell Rd., Fairmont went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, January 30, 2015 in his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 29, 1946 at Covington, VA, a son of the late Carl Wayne and Dessell Knight. On March 27, 2006 he married Margaret "Peggy" Rowe Knight who survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Jennifer "Missy" Knight, Fairmont, Kayla Renee Grant and husband Robert, Clarksburg, two sons, R. Christopher Knight and wife Becky, Lumberport, Jarrod Wayne Knight and wife Tausha, Clarksburg, one step daughter, Rebecca Renee Wilson and husband Robert, Fairmont, one step son, Wade Ellott Kincaid, Martinsburg, grandchildren, Alec Christy, Savannah Christy-Harper, Zachary Riggleman, Garrett Lohiser, Deegan Grant, Jackson Wayne Knight, Cody Wilson, one brother, Kevin Knight and wife Betty, Grafton and his K-9 best friend "Maxie".

Mr. Knight was a manager for A & P Grocery, Foodlion and Shop N Save with 45 years service. He had served with the West Union Fire Department as a volunteer fireman and the Doddridge County EMS. Ron enjoyed hunting, hot rod cars and was an avid WVU Mountaineer Football Fan. He was Baptist by faith. Ron enjoyed spending time with his family and was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted in the Spurgeon Funeral Home 212 Front St. West Union on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at 2:00PM with Pastor John Eklund officiating. Interment will follow in the Masonic Memorial Park, West Union. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 from 10AM until service time.
