Romaine Bonnell Obituary

Romaine Bonnell, 73 of West Union passed away on Saturday August 23, 2008. She was born on February 13, 1935 in New Milton a daughter of the late Ora F. and L. Ruth Richards Cox. Her husband Forest Olin Bob Bonnell preceded her in death in 1981.

Surviving are one daughter, Diana Ruth Bonnell, Smithburg, one son, Robert Olin Bonnell, West Union, one grandchild, Dana Nicole Bonnell, Arizona, four sisters, Connie Cox, Danville, Athalea Starkey and husband Bill, Weirton, Carol Sweet, Baltimore, MD, Blondel Adams, Wheeling, extended family, Janice Randolph and Whitney Randolph and Landen Tootle Bug Swafford, all of West Union, one brother-in-law, Jennings Pooch Cottrill, Weirton, several nieces and nephews and her loving companion, Noah Pee Wee Green, West Union. Two sisters, Lavaughn Fox, Nadine Cottrill, two brothers, Blaine Cox, Donald Cox, preceded her in death.

Mrs. Bonnell retired from Quality Garments, West Union, as a seamstress with 25 years service. She was also Co-Owner of Bobs Pizza Place in the late 70s. Romaine enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2008 at 1:00 PM in the Masonic Memorial Park, Crystal Lake, and West Union with Reverend Mark Miller officiating.
