Robert "Bob" Raymond Smith

Robert “Bob” Raymond Smith 79, of West Union passed away on Friday, January 24, 2025, at New Martinsville Health and Rehabilitation.

Bob was born October 28, 1945 in Thomas, WV son of the late Donald Graydon and Lucy Frances Sagace Smith.

Bob was a laborer for many years. He enjoyed watching sports, collecting and listening to music, being home and burning good old fire wood to stay warm. 

Bob is survived by his wife, Jeanette Holtz Smith whom he married on November 28, 1977; three children, Robert Joseph Smith (Nicole) Pittsburgh, Kristal Dawn Medina-Campa, Akron, OH, Charles Lewis Hymes (Misha), Clarksburg; nine grandchildren, Mina, Ava, Cassey, Samantha, Faith, Derek, Cory, Dakota, and Charles; great grandchildren, Silas, Wyatt, Alex, and Adaya; two sisters, Loreta S Goff (Dave), Elizabeth C Smith; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald G Smith Jr. and Francis Joseph Smith.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Tucker County in the mountains he loved at a later date. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory West Union is handling the cremation and honored to serve the Smith family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to his Care Fund on his memorial page.
