Rebecca "Becky" Clyne Obituary

Rebecca “Becky” Jo (Pederson) Clyne, 67, of West Union, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories and deep love.

Born on March 29, 1959, in Philippi, West Virginia, Becky was the beloved daughter of the late Myron D. “Pete” and JoAnn Lambert Pederson. She carried their strength, kindness, and quiet resilience with her throughout her life.

Becky shared 31 devoted years of marriage with her husband, Timothy Raymond Clyne, building a life rooted in love, loyalty, and companionship. She is also lovingly remembered by her brothers, Gregory Pederson and Dennis Pederson, both of Grafton; her niece, Jessica Stumpf and her husband Ed of Richmond, Virginia; and her two great-nephews, Michael Sean Stumpf, and Liam Stumpf who brought her much joy.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Steven Knotts—a loss she carried with enduring strength and grace; one brother, Michael Wayne “Pede” Pederson.

A proud graduate of Grafton High School, Class of 1977, Becky went on to serve her community faithfully as a U.S. Postal Service rural route carrier for over twenty years. Her dedication and friendly spirit made her a familiar and welcome presence to many along her route.

Beyond her work, Becky found happiness in life’s simple and meaningful pleasures. She was an exceptional cook who expressed her love through meals shared with family and friends. She had a green thumb and took great pride in her garden, nurturing beauty wherever she could. She also found freedom and peace in riding horses, a passion that reflected her gentle yet spirited nature.

Becky will be remembered for her warmth, her quiet strength, and the love she gave so freely to those around her. Her presence brought comfort, and her memory will continue to do so for all who knew her.

In honoring her wishes, Becky will be cremated, and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date—a time for family and friends to gather, share stories, and remember a life so deeply loved.
