Phyllis Annette Forsythe

Phyllis Annette Forsythe, 87 of West Union departed this life on Saturday, September 12, 2020 in the home of her brother Richard McMillan. She was born on October 8, 1932 at Marlington the daughter of the late Denver B. and Levva Bright Landis. Twice married she was preceded in death by her first husband Clifford Carter and her second husband Roy Forsythe.



Surviving are two daughters, Rebecca Benevenuti, Huntington Beach, CA, Sue Carter, Chino, CA, seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, one sister, Sue Towner, Salem, two brothers, Richard McMillan and wife Pat, Phillip McMillan and wife Sheila, West Union and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her step father, Cecil McMillan, one son, David Carter, step daughter, Faye Forsythe and two step sons, Scott Forsythe and Cameron Forsythe.



Mrs. Forsythe was an accomplished seamstress. She was the owner and operator of Draperies Innovations and Design where she designed and made custom draperies. Phyllis enjoyed working in her flower gardens and reading. She attended the West Union Christian Church.



At her request she was cremated and there will be no services. Spurgeon Funeral Home is privileged to serve the Forsythe family.
