Phame Trent

Phame Trent 89 of West Union departed this life on Saturday, March 31, 2012 in her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 6, 1922 at Summers a daughter of the late John and Nancy Gaston Hart. On October 12, 1941 she married William M. Trent who preceded her in death on November 15, 1992.

Surviving are two daughters, Dolores Hinterer-Hoover and husband Robert, New Milton, Sally J. Trent, West Union, two sons, William Lee Trent and wife Debbie, New Milton, Richard Trent and wife Karen, Buckhannon, eight grandchildren, Phyllis Hinterer, Phillip Hinterer, Craig Hinterer, Tammy Heffinger, William Trent, Scott Trent, Timothy Trent, Jake Trent, thirteen great grandchildren, sisters-in-laws, Mrs Victor (Zelma) Hart, Mrs. John (Barbara) Hart, Mrs. Amos (Christene) Trent Thompson, Mrs. John (Ruth) Cox Trent, one brother-in-law, Clarence Trent. Four brothers, Ronnie Hart, Vick Hart, James Hart, John Hart Jr. and seven sisters, Ruby Ingram Husk, Wilma Robinson, Macel Cox, Irene Cox, Lottie Trent, Bernice Cator and Dolores Toots Brown preceded her in death.

Mrs. Trent was retired from Myles Manufacturing as a seamstress with 20 years service. She was a member of Avon Community Church and was an avid quilt maker. Phame was a loving mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted in the Spurgeon Funeral Home, 212 Front St., West Union on Monday, April 2, 2012 at 1:00PM with Pastor Jack Bohman presiding. Interment will follow in the Seventh Day Baptist Church Cemetery, Middle Island. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Sunday, April 1, 2012 from 4-8PM and after 9AM Monday until service time. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
