Peggy Adams Obituary

Peggy Sue Adams, 56, of Riggins Run Rd., West Union departed this life on Saturday, December 13, 2014 in her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 22, 1958 in Clarksburg a daughter of Rachel Laughery Childers, Salem and the late Charles Childers. She is survived by her husband David L. Adams whom she married 37 years ago.

Also surviving are one daughter, Dodi Adams Davis and husband Jason Davis, West Union, one son, David L. Adams II and companion Jessie Bickler, West Union, two sisters, June Wilt, Julia Childers, all of Salem, two brothers, Charles "Buck" Childers, Smithburg William Wade Childers, Miletus, three grandchildren, Payton, Davis, Madison Noel Adams and Dalton D. Cork. She was preceded in death by one sister, Beth Ashcraft.

Peggy was a member of the first graduating class at Liberty High School. She had been a laborer for MCT and a member of Locals Union #984. She enjoyed working along her husband on their farm. Peggy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted in the Spurgeon Funeral Home, 212 Front St., West Union on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at 11AM.with Pastor Tom Zimmerman presiding. Interment will follow on the family farm. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 from 4-8PM and after 9AM Thursday until time of service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Mary Babb Cancer Center, 1 Medical Center Drive, Morgantown, WV 26506 or Peoples Hospice,327 Medical Park, Drive Bridgeport, WV 26330-9952.
