Michael Dale McKinney

Michael D. McKinney, 64 of Payne St. Salem departed this life on Sunday, September 17, 2017. He was born on March 21, 1953 in Tyler County a son of the late Jahue and Nettie Gains McKinney.

Surviving are his companion of 15 years, Ruth Carder, daughters, Teresa Nicole McKinney, Charleston, Christina McKinney, West Union, sons, Michael D. Mossor, West Union, Johnathan McKinney, West Union, Curtis D. McKinney, Salem, step sons, Donnie Mossor, West Union, Michael R. Carder, Salem, John W. Carder, Nutter Fort, sister, Doris Holtz, West Union, brothers, Hugh McKinney, Leonard McKinney, West Union, Charles McKinney, Salem, several grandchildren, two step grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Two sisters, Beatrice Towner and Mary Francis McKinney preceded him in death.

Mr. McKinney was employed by Diversified Resources Inc. as an oil and gas laborer. He had attended Center Branch Church. Michael enjoyed camping and fishing.

Funeral services will be conducted in the Spurgeon Funeral Home 212 Front St. West Union on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at 1:00PM with Pastor Dave Masto presiding. Interment will follow in the Masonic Memorial Park. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 from 4-8PM and after 9AM on Wednesday until time of service.
