Mary Ellen Weekley, 68 of Alma departed this life on Monday, February 17, 2014 in her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 6, 1945 at Pullman a daughter of the late Clarence Carr and Claudia Merlin Whaley Carr Taylor. Twice married she was preceded in death by her first husband Ronald Vincent. On February 23, 1974 she married Paul Weekley who survives.
Also surviving is two daughters, Pamela Weekley and husband Terry, Alma, Paula (Sam) Miller and husband Tim, Alma, one son, Brian Vincent and wife Jennifer, Alma grandchildren, Jessica Kile, Zachary Vincent, Ronald Vincent, Greg Miller and Remington Miller, great grandchildren, Stella Ellen Kile, Aiden Vincent, Brilee Vincent and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sons, Ronald and Greg Vincent, two grandchildren, Timothy Ryan Weekley and Brian Vincent Jr., three sisters, Sharon Pierce, Colleen Spencer and Karen McCloy.
Mrs. Weekley had worked at the Mid-Way Restaurant in Pennsboro and for Myles Manufacturing in West Union and Harrisville. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star West Union Chapter #56. Mary was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted in the Spurgeon Funeral Home 212 Front St. West Union on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 1PM with Pastor Robert Metz presiding. Interment will follow in the Pullman Cemetery, Pullman. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Friday, February 21, 2014 from 4-8PM. There will be an Eastern Star service at 7PM on Friday.
