Mary Adeline Carroll Wagner

Mary Adeline Carroll Wagner, 85 formerly of Childers Manor, West Union departed this life on Saturday, December 18, 2010 in Sunbridge Care & Rehabilitation Center, Salem. She was born February 2, 1925 in Big Flint, Doddridge County a daughter of the late Ora and Sarah Lasure Carroll. On June 14, 1960, she married Kenneth Merlin Wagner who preceded her in death on November 23, 1993.

Surviving are four sisters, Virginia Marguerite Williams, Smithburg, Cherokee Sue Fraser, West Union, Juanita Krafft, West Union, Deloris Thompson, West Union, two brothers, Edwin Carroll, West Union, James Wetzel Carroll, Washington, WV and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four brothers, John, Leroy, Robert and Eugene.

Mrs. Wagner retired from Magnolia Manor Nursing Home as a cook with 35 years service. She was a member of the Sistersville Church of Christ. She was a loving sister and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Funeral services will be held in the Spurgeon Funeral Home 212 Front St. West Union on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Paul Flanigan and Pastor Rick Murphy presiding. Interment will follow in the Masonic Memorial Park, West Union. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 from 4-8 PM and after 9AM on Wednesday until time of service.
