Mary Kay Kimball, 65, of Ashley passed into eternal life Monday, September 18, 2017 surrounded with love at her residence. She was born on April 25, 1952 in Clarksburg to the late Ralph and Lillian Irene Myers Smith. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Donald C. Kimball, with whom she shared a birthday and always knew he was the one. Together they had three children, Matt (Teresa) Kimball, West Union, Melony (Ronald Jr.) Johnson, Clarksburg and Josh (Jessie) Kimball, Clarksburg. She was the very proud Grandmother of five wonderful Grandchildren, Megan Johnson, and Ronnie and Jennifer Johnson, all of Clarksburg, Katelyn Kimball, West Union and Madison and Mackenzie Kimball, Clarksburg. Also surviving are her siblings, Maxine (Kib) Duvall, Jim (Doris) Smith and Harold (Whozie) Smith. Also surviving are many special brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews. Mary attended Doddridge County High School. Her greatest joy was being a homemaker, caring for her husband, raising her children and she took great pride in all their accomplishments. She was a parent volunteer at Center Point Grade School and worked briefly for the USPS as a post mistress at the Center Point and Shirley Post Offices. She is preceded in death by her sister, Martha Ann Smith Lowther, her Mother-In-Law Betty Kimball, brothers-in-law, Tom Kimball and Robert Lowther. The family would like to thank People Hospice and Dr. Paul Davis for their loving care and kindness during this difficult time.
Funeral services will be conducted in the Spurgeon Funeral Home 212 Front St. West Union on Friday, September 22, 2017 at 11:00AM with Pastor Sherman Goodwin presiding. Interment will follow in the Center Point Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, September 21, 2017 from 2-8PM. Spurgeon Funeral Home is privileged to serve the Kimball family.
