Mary Lucille Bell

Mary Lucille Bell, 96 of West Union passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2024. Mary was born July 24, 1927, in McWhorter, WV, daughter of the late Joshua Bee Jacobs and Willa Katherine Bowers Jacobs Keener. 

Mary worked at Doddridge County Senior Center as a driver and adult daycare worker. She enjoyed sewing, doing puzzle books and watching game shows.  She was a lady of faith, attending several churches in the area. 

Mary is survived by her three sons, Charles Myers, West Union, Richard Bell (Lisa) Cambridge, OH, Roland Bell (Becky) Pennsboro; four daughters, Brenda Posey, Bellaire, OH, Janet Bell, Barnesville, OH, Debbie Leggett (Dick) West Union, Patty Owens, West Union; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by one son, Mark Bell; two grandsons, Ricky Hornyak and Edward Lee Mossor; two great grandsons, Ryan Mossor and Nicholas Bowen; seven brothers, Charles Smith, Dale Jacobs, Glen James Jacobs, Flemmie Jacobs, Donnie Jacobs, Marvin Keener, and James Keener; two sisters, Virginia Hickman, and Charlotte Amos.

Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home West Union, 212 Front Street West Union WV on Thursday, May 2, 2024 from 10 AM until time of the Funeral Service at 12:00 Noon with Rev Gilbert Neely officiating. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Mount Clare, WV. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to her Care Fund on her memorial page.
