Marcia Ann Davis

Marcia Ann Davis, 85 of West Union passed away peacefully in Salem on April 9th, 2025.

She was born in West Union on January 20th 1940, daughter of the late Robert Denzil and Ellene Gain Snider.

She is survived by her two children, James Bradley Davis and wife Sandy and Beth Davis; three grandchildren, James Bradley Davis II and wife Danielle, Jennifer Davis, and Sydney Walls and husband Justin; two great grandchildren, Sadie Davis and Bentley Walls; a brother, Robert Denzil Snider II and wife Jenifer; nephew, Jason Snider and wife Melissa; two great nieces, Ella and Louisa.

Marcia graduated from Shinnston High School in 1957 and from Fairmont State University in 1961 with an English and Music Degree. She worked as a traveling music teacher in Doddridge County. She also taught choir at the Doddridge County High School as well later teaching music at the Doddridge County Middle School before retiring in 1999. 

She attended Emmanuel United Methodist Church playing the piano and had a youth choir that traveled to different churches to perform. She directed the adult choir and had Easter and Christmas Cantatas for over 50 years.

Marcia is now reunited with Mary Farr Secrist whom she loved, she also loved gardening, canning, hunting, and traveling with over the years. 

Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home West Union, 212 Front Street West Union WV on Sunday, April 13, 2025 from 12:00 Noon - 4PM and on Monday, April 14, 2025 at Immanuel Fellowship Church, 123 Church Street, West Union, WV from 10:00 AM until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM with Pastor Jeff King officiating.
