Lucille B. McMillan, 89, of West Union departed this life on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 in the West Virginia University Hospital, Morgantown.
She was born on January 28, 1923 in Doddridge County a daughter of Carl Earl and Laura McKitrick Baker. Twice married she was preceded in death by her first husband, Junior Owens and her second husband, Cecil McMillan.
She is survived by two nephews, Carl Harris and wife Norma Jean, Ripley, Charles Harris, Columbus, OH, two step-sons, Richard McMillan and wife Patricia, West Union, Philip McMillan and wife Sheila, Big Flint, step-daughter, Sue Towner, Big Flint and one great nephew, Mark Rhodes, Ripley. One sister Edna Alice Harris and one nephew, Jamie Brooks Harris also preceded her in death.
Mrs. McMillan was a member of the West Union Christian Church. She was owner and operator of the Farmers Exchange and the 5&10 Store in West Union. She loved gardening and working with flowers and plants.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, April 30, 2012 at 1:00PM in the Spurgeon Funeral Home, 212 Front St. West Union with Pastor David Waston presiding. Interment will follow in the Masonic Memorial Park, West Union.
Family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Monday, April 30 from 11AM until time of services.
