Loretta Jean McKinney

Loretta Jean McKinney, 40, of Route 1, Salem departed this life on Sunday, February 26, 2012. She was born May 25, 1971 in Clarksburg a daughter of Ronald Britton Sr. and wife, Sarah, Alma and Betty Owens Hart and husband, Albin, Smithburg. On October 24, 1992 she married Jefferey Ellis McKinney who survives.

Also surviving are one son, Tyler Jefferey McKinney, at home, three sisters, Angela Dawn Davis, Big Flint Community, Rhonda Sue Britton, Steubenville, OH, Jessica Ellen Blandori, West Union, four brothers, Kevin Wayne Britton, West Union, Dewayne Keith Britton, Salem, Mark Eugene Britton and Ronald Keith Britton both of West Union and several nieces and nephews. One brother, William Arthur Britton preceded her in death.

Mrs. McKinney had been a former employee of Doddridge County Senior Citizens as a Home Health Aide. She was a member of Avon Community Church.

Funeral services will be conducted in the Spurgeon Funeral Home 212 Front St. West Union on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at 1:00PM with Pastor Dave Masto, Pastor Robert Swiger and Pastor Calvin Robinson presiding. Interment will follow in the Pt. Pleasant Cemetery, Oxford. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 from 2-8PM and after 9AM on Thursday until time of service.
