Lillian "Mae" (Watts) Meade

Lillian “Mae” Meade 83, of West Union passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at home.

Mae was born January 17, 1942 in Cheverly, MD, daughter of the late Harry Everett Watts and Gertrude Elizabeth Florence.

Mae was a beautician for 20 years and retired from 7-11 after 30 years. She enjoyed horseback riding which she did competitively. Her hobbies were crocheting, playing games on the computer, and working jigsaw puzzles.   

Mae is survived by one son, Steven Allen Meade, West Union; daughter-in-law, Donna Lee Meade, New Milton; five grandchildren, Sasha, Tasha, Steven II, Gregory Scott, and Jeffrey, eighteen great grandchildren; one sister, Cindy Haydon; several nieces and nephews.  

In addition to her parents, Mae was preceded in death by one son, William Jean Meade Jr; stepfather, Paul Florence Sr; siblings, Jane Elizabeth Smith, Harry Everett Watts Jr; and Paul Florence Jr.

Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home West Union, 212 Front Street West Union WV on Sunday, February 09, 2025 from 1:00PM until the time of the funeral service at 3:00PM, Pastor Bob Marino Officiating.
