Lena Margarite Yongue

Lena Margarite Yongue 78 of HC 67 West Union passed away on Thursday November 27, 2008 in her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 4, 1930 a daughter of the late Lorenzy Dowe and Ruthy Pearle Marks King. On November 10, 1948 she married William Joseph Yongue who survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Vickie Lynn Yongue, New Milton, Kimberly Renee Gott, Baltimore, MD, five grandchildren, John W. Pickens, Corey Pickens, Joseph, Travis, and Amber Gott, four great grandchildren, one sister, Bernice L. McCallister, Baltimore, Md. One brother Charles King preceded her in death.

Mrs. Yongue was a waitress and had worked for many restaurants. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 6506 and was a charter member of the Middle River Baptist Church, Baltimore, Md. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

It was the request of Lena to be cremated. Spurgeon Funeral Home is privileged to serve the Yongue family.
