Larry Edward Pritchard, 75, of Crystal Lake Rd., West Union formerly of Harrisville passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 in the United Hospital Center, Bridgeport. He was born in Harrisville on January 26, 1939 a son of the late Glenn and Louise Rogers Pritchard. On August 27, 1959, he married Norma Sue Goff Pritchard who survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Lara Beth Cunningham and husband Mike, New Martinsville, four sons, Tony Alan Pritchard and wife Jill, San Antonio, TX, Darryl Kent Pritchard, Beverly OH, Warren Keith Pritchard and wife Pam, Florence, SC, Timothy Gavin Pritchard, Reeds Spring, MO, grandchildren, Maren Pritchard; Whitney Pritchard Stout and Alec Pritchard; Myranda and Norman Pritchard; Brianna, Eric and Lara Pritchard; Megan and Erin Cunningham, two great grandchildren, Norman and Iris Pritchard, one brother, Lewis Donald Pritchard, several nieces and nephews and two loving sister-in-laws: Kay Goff, Fort Myers, Florida and Karen McCormick of Plano, Texas. One son Eric Pritchard preceded him in death.
Mr. Pritchard was retired from the West Virginia Alcohol and Beverage Commission as a manager. He was a U. S. Air Force Veteran serving in the Marshall Islands where the Hydrogen Bombs were tested. These veterans who served in the Marshall Islands were known as "Atomic Veterans". Larry was a marathon race walker and had participated in races in 48 states with his wife. He enjoyed fishing.
