Katheryn "Kathy" Cork

Katheryn Jane "Kathy" Cork, 51, of Smithburg departed this life on Sunday, February 15, 2015 in her residence. She was born March 18, 1963 in Clarksburg a daughter of the late James and Maxine Cumpston Garrison.

She is survived by two sons, James Alexander Cork of Thomas, Jason Anthony Cork and fiance', Erica Taylor of Grafton, one sister, Susan Landers, West Union, three half sisters, Sandra Conley, Wheeling, Sally White, and husband Harvey, Cleveland, OH, Penny Tanner and husband, Ron, South Carolina, half brother, James Garrison and wife, Jeanie, Canton, OH, special niece and family, Matt, Teresa and Katelyn Kimball, one granddaughter, Rylan and one expected granddaughter in May 2015. One half sister, Shirley Schafffner preceded her in death.

Kathy was a graduate of Doddridge County High School, former employee of Salem Personal Care and worked for the Doddridge County Senior Citizens as a Home Health Aide. She attended the Rock Run Wesleyan Methodist Church. Kathy loved her dogs and enjoyed spending time with them. She was a very loving and caring mother and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted in the Spurgeon Funeral Home, 212 Front St., West Union at 1:00PM on Thursday, February 19, 2015 with Pastor Tom Zimmerman presiding. Interment will follow in the Masonic Memorial Park, West Union. Family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 from 2-8PM.
