John Lynn Leggett,

John Lynn Leggett Sr., 60, of Howell St. West Union departed this life on Monday, May 5, 2014 in the United Hospital Center, Bridgeport. He was born May 13, 1953 in West Union a son of the late Dewey and Frankie E. Ross Leggett. On February 3, 1992 he married Ormi Victoria Leggett who survives.

Also surviving is one daughter, Elizabeth Gail Leggett, at home, one son, John Lynn Leggett Jr. at home, one sister, Beth Barnes, Pennsboro, five brothers, James "Ron" Sandstrom, Pennsboro, Donald "Buck" Sandstrom, Douglas Gary Leggett, Richard "Dick" Leggett all of West Union, Tom Leggett, Harrisville and several nieces and nephews. One brother Emmett Leggett preceded him in death.

John had been employed with the Doddridge County Senior Citizens as a health care worker. He enjoyed yard work and loved animals. He was an alumni of Oklahoma University and a veteran of the United States Army. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

The family will receive friends in the Spurgeon Funeral Home, 212 Front St. West Union on Wednesday May 7, 2014 from 10AM-12PM. At John's request cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to the family to help with funeral expenses.
