James Ross Underwoood,

James Ross Underwood Jr., 38 of Gregory's Run Rd. departed this life on Saturday, August 9, 2014. He was born on August 20, 1975 in Cumberland, MD to James R. Underwood Sr. Clarksburg and Susan Lasure Bucek, Ormond Beach, FL. He is also survived by his step mother, Mildred Campbell Underwood, Clarksburg and step father, Irvin Bucek.

Also surviving are three half sisters, Jenny Underwood, MD, Melinda Williams, TX, Kellie Carpenter and husband Jack, Clarksburg, one half brother, Cody Nutter, Ormond Beach, FL., maternal grandmother, Bonnie Nay, Little Flint Community, two nieces, Patience and Abigail Carpenter and two nephews, Benjamin Carpenter and Quinton Williams. He was preceded in death by one brother, James Paul Underwood, paternal grandparents, James and Katherine Underwood, maternal grandfather, James Leo Lasure.

Mr. Underwood owned and operated a Lawn Care and Snow Removal business. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. James was an avid New Orleans Saints fan and enjoyed NFL Football.

Funeral services will be conducted in the Spurgeon Funeral Home 212 Front St. West Union on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 1:00PM with Pastor David McCauley presiding. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Saturday from 11AM until time of service. Expressions of sympathy may be extended to the family at www.spurgeonfunerals.com.
