James Hurley Obituary

James J. Hurley, 78 of Howell St. West Union departed this life on Monday, October 09, 2017 in Pine View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Harrisville. He was born on June 26, 1939 in Jersey City, NJ, a son of the late James and Isabel Zimmerman Hurley.

Surviving is one sister, Geraldine Gullace and husband Michael, Toms River, NJ. He was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Hurley.

Jim had worked for Blake's Auto Sales as an auto body repairman. Jim was proud to be a veteran in the 82nd Airborne Division. He was an avid history buff and a sports fanatic. He was a member of the Doddridge County Senior Citizens. Jim was a friend to all and will be sadly missed.

At his request he was cremated. Spurgeon Funeral Home is privileged to serve the Hurley family.
