James Corley Heflin

James Corley Heflin 79 of West Union passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born on November 14, 1936 in Smithburg, WV a son of the late Corley Vance and Pansy Opal Haught Heflin. On December 12, 1958 he married Norma Jean Neely Heflin who survives.

Also surviving are one son James Gregory Heflin, St. Marys, WV, three daughters, LaDonna Lombardi, New York, NY, Tammy Toffali, North Babylon, NY, Sherri Carpenter, West Union, WV, 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one grandson, Larry Dalrymple II.

Mr. Heflin was retired from Cytec with 29 years of service as a painter. He was a member of Britton Gospel Church.

Funeral services will be conducted in the Spurgeon Funeral Home, 212 Front St. West Union on
Friday, May 20, 2016 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Gilbert Neely officiating. Interment will follow in the Ellenboro Masonic Cemetery, Ellenboro, WV. Family will receive visitors in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, May 19, 2016 from 4-8 PM and after 9AM on
Friday until service time.
