Jack Edwin Ford, 83 of West Union formerly of Clarksburg departed this life on January 6, 2012 at noon in the United Hospital Center. He was born on October 15, 1928 and raised in West Union a son of the late Harold H. and Ollie (Finley) Ford. Jack was married to Clara (Fleming) Ford, a native of Doddridge County, for 63 years. He was the older brother of Nelda (Ford) King, wife of the late Sam King of Doddridge County.
Jack was the father of two dear daughters, Sandy Ford, Clarksburg and Karen (Ford) Nardelli and husband Louie G. Nardelli, Clarksburg. He was the proud grandfather of Louie J. Nardelli and wife Christine, Natalie (Nardelli) Gigliotti and husband Tony, and John Paul Nardelli, and the proud great-grandfather of Julian Nardelli, Noah Nardelli, and Stella Claire Gigliotti.
For over 30 years, Jack was a successful business co-owner and an award-winning sales representative at Heaster-Lawsons Sales and Service. He was a member of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church of West Union, the Clarksburg Exchange Club and the Herman Lodge #6 AF & AM. He was a founding member of the Mountaineer Sportsman Club. Jack loved his farm and enjoyed hunting with his buddies. Many will remember him as an enthusiastic storyteller and a constant kidder.
Funeral services will be conducted in the Spurgeon Funeral Home 212 Front St. West Union on Sunday January 8, 2012 at 2:00 PM with Pastor David McCauley presiding. Interment will follow in the Masonic Memorial Park, West Union. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Sunday from 11AM until service time.
