Irene M. Schulte

Irene M. Schulte, 97, of Alum Bridge, formerly of St. Clara community, Doddridge County, passed away on August 22, 2011. She was born on May 14, 1914 in Doddridge County a daughter of the late Christian Andrew and Cecilia Frances Kreyenbuhl Schulte.

One sister, Rosalia Ruppert of Elizabeth, WV, survives Miss Schulte. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by one sister, Rita Bush and three brothers, William Schulte, Matthew Schulte and Joseph Schulte.

Miss Schulte was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting, crocheting and needle work. She was a member of the St. Clara Homemaker Club and attended Fallen Timber Homemaker Club. She was a member of the St. Clare Catholic Church.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 25, 2011 at 11AM in the St. Clare Catholic Church, St. Clara with Father George Manjadi as celebrant. Interment will follow in the St. Clare Catholic Cemetery. Family and friends will be received in the Spurgeon Funeral Home, 212 Front St., West Union on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 from 4-8PM. A prayer service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 7PM.
