A Video Tribute to Henry is now available.Please click here Henry Amos Richards, Jr., 69, of Salem, W.Va. departed this life on Friday, October 31, 2014 in Ruby Memorial Hospital Center, Morgantown, W.Va. He was born September 10, 1945 in Doddridge County, W.Va., a son of the late Henry Amos and Mildred Louise Demastus Richards. On October 23, 1993 he married Rhea Cottrill Richards who survives.Also surviving are three daughters, LaDonna Rinehart and husband, Richard, of Clarksburg, W.Va., Tina Richards and companion, Richard Kelly, of Reedsville, W.Va. and Susan Carroll and husband Chris, of West Union, W. Va.; one step son, Matthew Cottrill, of Annandale, Va.; grandchildren, Ricky Carroll, Jr., Alicia Rinehart, Christopher Carroll, Sara Carroll, Christina Carroll, and Johnathan Henry Carroll; two sisters, Helen Dotson Griffith and husband, Jim, of Pennsboro, W.Va. and Sue Johnson and companion, Dave, of Alma, W.Va.; two brothers, Charles Dotson and wife, Donna Jean and Paul Dotson and wife, Cindy, all of West Union, W.Va.; one step sister, Agnes Smith, of West Union, W.Va.; two step brothers, Sammy Dotson, of Weirton, W.Va. and Oliver Dotson, of Fla.; brother-in-laws, Kenny Cottrill, of Salem, W. Va., Lawrence Cottrill, of Weston, W.Va., James Cottrill, of Salem, W.Va. and Roger Cottrill, of Salem, W.Va.; and several nieces and nephews. Three half sisters and three half brothers preceded him in death.Mr. Richards retired from Eagle Convex Glass with 32 years of service in the maintenance department. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting and most importantly spending time with his grandchildren.Funeral services will be conducted in the Spurgeon Funeral Home, 212 Front St., West Union, W.Va. on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at 1:00PM with Pastor Louis Ortenzio and Pastor Bill Davis presiding. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Monday, November 3, 2014 from 2-8PM.
