Helen Lucille Kester

Helen Lucille Kester, 79 of HC67 West Union departed this life on Saturday, June 12, 2010 in Heartland Nursing Home, Clarksburg.

She was born on May 19, 1931 in Shirley a daughter of the late Chapman F. and Delila Cain Kester.

Surviving are one son, David Lee Kester, Spicewood, TX, two grandchildren, David Kester Jr., Laura Kester, two sisters, Betty Beachler, West Milford, Shirley Ashcraft Smith, West Union, two brothers, Robert Wayne Kester, Arthur Joe Kester, Shirley. Two sisters, Alice Gatto and Mable McCune preceded her in death.

Helen had been a personal care giver to those in need in their homes and was an avid lover of animals. She attended the Shirley United Methodist Church.


Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at 1:00 PM in the Spurgeon Funeral Home 212 Front St. West Union with Pastor Denver Burnside presiding. Interment will follow in Shirley Cemetery, Shirley. Family and friends will be received in the funeral home chapel on Monday, June 14, 2010 from 4-8 PM and after 9AM on Tuesday until time of service.
