Harry McConnell

Harry McConnell, 68 of Sugar Camp Rd., New Milton departed this life on Sunday, January 22, 2012 in his residence. He was born on April 27, 1943 at Blandville a son of the late Oscar and Freda Ross McConnell.

Surviving are cousins, James G. Ross and wife Connie, James G. J.R. Ross and wife Brittany and daughter Hadley, all of Sugar Camp Rd, Melissa Stephenson and daughters, Haley and Marissa, special friends and care-givers, Herb and Kelley Moyer, Pennsboro, Dave and Janet Kelley, Sugar Camp, Rich, Tina and Hunter Freeman, Sugar Camp, Arleen Lawson, West Union and several other close friends.

Mr. McConnell owned and operated McConnells Taxidermy for 40 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and all outdoors activities. Harry was a member of the Blandville United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be held in the Spurgeon Funeral Home 212 Front St. West Union on Thursday January 26, 2012 at 1:00PM with Pastor Matt Baldwin presiding. Interment will follow in the 7th Day Baptist Church Cemetery, Middle Island. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday January 25, 2012 from 4-8PM and after 9AM on Thursday until time of service.
