Harry Preston McCloy

Harry P. McCloy, 77, of Salem departed this life on Saturday, November 19, 2011 in the Salem Care and Rehabilitation. He was born in Greenbrier, Doddridge County on May 16, 1934 a son of the late John W. and Roxy Davis McCloy.

He is survived by three cousins, David C. Davis and wife Linda of Salem, with whom he resided 15 years, William J. Davis and wife Edna, Bristol, and Freddy Davis, Salem. He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

Mr. McCloy was a member of the Black Lick Baptist Church for 50 years. He enjoyed listening to gospel tapes and working puzzles.



Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at 1PM in the Spurgeon Funeral Home, 212 Front St., West Union with Pastor Robert Marino and Pastor Daniel Cope presiding. Interment will follow in the Seventh Day Baptist Cemetery, Greenbrier. Friends will be received in the funeral home chapel on Monday, November 21, 2011 from 4-8PM and after 9AM until time of service on Tuesday.
