GOLDIE MAXINE HALL
Goldie Maxine Hall, 87 of West Union, WV departed this life at 4:40 p.m. on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at the Camden Clark Hospital, Parkersburg, WV following an extended illness. She was born on March 5, 1924 in West Union, a daughter of the late William Robert Friend and Iva Belle Scott Friend. Her husband, Louis Elliott Hall preceded her in death on March 17, 2000.

Surviving are three daughters, Lola Simonton and husband Sterling, Parkersburg, Beth Kellar and husband Craig, West Union, Pamela Stinespring and husband, Victor, Greenwood; two sons, Robert Hall and wife Cheryl, West Union, Douglas Hall and wife Joyce, Crystal Lake, son-in-law, Scott Cochran, Jarvisville; eleven grandchildren: Misti Hall, Cody Hall, Taylor Woodford, Joseph Hall, Brooks Simonton, Amber Cochran, Tyler Cochran, Jennifer Singleton, Karen Kellar, Matthew Kellar and Michael Stinespring; and six great grandchildren. She was also survived by a niece, Tammy Hall Henderson who was like a daughter to her and several other nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Hall was a member of the West Union Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed by her family.

Funeral Services will be conducted in the Spurgeon Funeral Home, 212 Front Street, West Union on Sunday August 21, 2011 at 2:00 PM with Craig Kellar presiding. Interment will follow in the Masonic Memorial Park, West Union. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, August 20, 2011 from 2-8 p.m. and after 11 AM on Sunday until the time of service.
