Gary "Larry" Leasure

Gary “Larry” Leasure, 79 of West Union passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2025 at the home of his companion Lanita Stewart and caregivers, Nikki Smith and Logan Smith by his side. He was born on June 6, 1945 in Grafton, WV, son of the late Edward and Marie Jenkins Leasure.

Larry had worked for the Glass Factories in Salem and New Martinsville, State Road, Oil and Gas Business and was known as Lawn Mower Larry for all the yards he cut. He collected knives, and enjoyed watching old movies and tv shows.  

Larry is survived by siblings, Roy Leasure and Barbara Leasure of Elizabeth, WV; companion, Lanita Stewart of Paden City and her children, Paul Fragmin and wife Mariah Fragmin of Salem and they  have four children, Nikki Smith and husband Logan of Sistersville and they have two children Paisley and Preslee who called him papaw Larry; also several nieces and nephews, and his cousin Ernie Shields.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his wife Mary Louise LeMasters Leasure on April 3, 2019; one son, Marvin Leasure; siblings, Howard, Roger and Bill Leasure, and Connie Cowen.

The family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home – West Union, 212 Front Street, West Union, WV on Monday, April 14, 2025 from 3-7 pm and on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 Noon with Pastor Ben Blair presiding.
