Floyd Syck, 73, of Clarksburg, formerly of West Union departed this life on Friday, April 20, 2012 in the Clarksburg Nursing & Rehab. He was born May 3, 1938 in Cowpen, KY a son of the late Danithan and Ersa Gross Syck.
He is survived by daughters, Ersa Lee Skjerli and husband John, West Union, Cynthia Rose Means and husband Kevin, New Milton, two sons, Russell Frederick Mick Syck and wife Penny, Dillion, MT, Floyd Philip Syck and wife Debbie, New Milton, fourteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, three brothers, James Ira Syck, Pikeville, KY, Freddie Syck, Albion, NY, Rollan Syck and wife Mary, Palmyra, WI, three sisters, Nellie Bradford and husband James, TX, Cathy Hand and husband Lee, Taylorville, KY, Bettie Syck, Marion, OH, several nieces and nephews. Two sisters, Mary Syck and Loraine Reynolds, two brothers, Willard Syck and Clell Syck preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be conducted in the Spurgeon Funeral Home, 212 Front St., West Union on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at 1:00PM with Pastor John Freeman presiding. Interment will follow in the Randolph Cemetery, West Union. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, April 26, 2012 from 11AM until time of service.
