Evelyn Ruth Seese

Mrs. "Paul" Evelyn R. Seese, 84, of Shriver Ave., S.E. Massillion, OH went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 8, 2014. Evelyn passed away peacefully at the home of her nephew Toby and Becky Shaw, Overlook Dr., Bridgeport.

She was born on April 12, 1929 in Harrison County, a daughter of the late James A. Shaw Sr. and Velva J. Hall Shaw. On May 4, 1964 she married the late Paul Seese son of Emmanuel Seese and Eunice Swiger Seese.

Mrs. Seese is survived by several nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews, five sisters-in-laws, Yvonne (Dottie) Shaw, West Union, Minerva Seese and Nellie Seese both of Salem, Doretta Seese, Barberton, OH and Betty J. Shaw, Wallace. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Lloyd A. Shaw, Paul J. Shaw, James A. Shaw and Donnie L. Shaw, two sisters, Eva Arbogast and Ava June Shaw, three sisters-in-laws, Margaret, Rachel and Dora Gum, Bernice Shaw.

Evelyn was surrounded by her many church friends of Anchor Baptist Church, Massillon, OH. She had many great friends of the Massillon "community" and the Salvation Army Volunteer Workers of Massillon, OH.

Funeral services will be conducted in the Spurgeon Funeral Home, 212 Front. St. West Union on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at 11:00AM with Pastor David Masto presiding. Interment will follow in the Christian Church Cemetery, Center Point. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 from 4-8PM.
