Eugene William Bennett, Sr

Eugene William Bennett Sr, 70, of Alma passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at his residence with family by his side. Eugene was born in Neptune, NJ on July 12, 1955, a son of the late William Eugene Andrews and Doris Genevieve Pierce Bennett Andrews. Eugene graduated from Wall High School, Class of 1974. He worked in Auto Parts Sales for over 30 years and last worked at Pep Boys.  Eugene collected Hess Trucks, enjoyed camping, building things, going on cruises. The most important thing in his life was time spent with family. Eugene is survived by his wife of 50 years, Leslie Olivia Gifford Bennett whom he married on May 24, 1975; three children, Eugene William Bennett Jr, Alma, John Lewis Bennett (Leah), Manahawkin, NJ, Tanya Lynn Jacenkiw (John Jr), Alma; four grandchildren, Gwendolyn DiAnna Jacenkiw, Abigail Dawn Jacenkiw, Marc William Bennett, Kassidy Danielle Jacenkiw; siblings, Joan LaReddola, Walter Bennett, Sharon Summers (David), Carol Bennett, and John Bennett Sr; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Eugene is preceded in death by his siblings, Peggy Belenets, Ethel Killion, Patricia Ochat. A Celebration of Life will be held in New Jersey at a later date.
