Ellen Delores Matheny

Ellen Delores Matheny, 60 of Main St. West Union departed this life on Monday, June 8, 2020 in the United Hospital Center, Bridgeport. She was born on January 23, 1960 in Clarksburg a daughter of the late Alfred and Mary Delores Samples Jones. Twice married she was preceded in death by her first husband George McMullen. She is survived by her husband Glenn Matheny.



Also surviving are six daughters, Julie McMullen, Salem, Mary Ann McCloud, Clarksburg, Alice McMullen, West Union, Leslie Northern, Morgantown, Terry Sigley, Terra Alta, Amanda Turner, Elkins, three sons, George McMullen, Clarksburg, Jeffrey McMullen, Elkins, Zackery Matheny, West Union, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, three sisters, Karen Merancio, Clarksburg, Janet Southerland, Elkins, Mary Jo Leggett, West Union, three brothers, Kenneth Jones and Alfred Jones Jr. both of Clarksburg, Michael Jones, Salem.



Mrs. Matheny had worked for Pineview Nursing facility as a CNA for many years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.



At her request she was cremated and there will be no services. Spurgeon Funeral Home is privileged to serve the Matheny family.
