Edward Cub Davis, 75, of HC68, West Union passed away on Monday, March 15, 2010 in his residence.
He was born on March 2, 1935 in Doddridge County a son of the late Boward Oscar and Blanche Law Davis.
Surviving is his wife Dorothy Bird Weekley Davis and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Garnett Jim Davis, two sisters, Mary Pauline Stout and Susie Nicholson.
Mr. Davis had worked in construction and retired from the West Virginia Department of Highways as a heavy equipment operator with 18 years of service. He loved to drive to restaurants and visit with his friends and he loved farming. Cub was a big man but he had a bigger heart.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 in the Spurgeon Funeral Home, 212 Front St., West Union at 1:00PM with Pastor Gilbert Neely officiating. Interment will follow in the Seventh Day Baptist Church Cemetery. Family and friends will be received in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, March 16th from 2-8PM and after 9AM on Wednesday until the time of service.
